💙 The Hamsa (also called Hand of Fatima, Khamsa, or Hand of Miriam) is a talisman from the ancient Middle East. It is thought though that the Hamsa predates both Judaism and Islam, but ultimately there is no certainty about its origins.
🧿 Traditionally when displayed with the fingers down, the Hamsa is said to let more goodness, luck, fertility and abundance into your life. When facing up, it is a powerful symbol of protection against the Evil Eye and negative energy.
💜 This suncatcher is 7” tall and 5” wide, made with quality iridescent art glass that is very opaque and lets next to no light through. The jewel used in this piece is an iridescent blue moon face. Each piece of glass is hand cut, wrapped with copper foil, soldered together with 60/40 solder. A lead border has been added to this piece to provide stability and for a clean polished look. It’s hung with fine black jewellery chain and is ready to be displayed in a window or on a wall.
❇️ Each stained glass item is handmade, and therefor each piece is unique. Art glass has imperfection and “seeds”, which add to the beauty and light play so loved in stained glass. Please handle with care and keep out of reach of children.
