Ginkgo Leaf

🍃 Considered a “living fossil”, the Ginkgo Biloba trees have been around since the Mesozoic Era. Their durability and longevity has been admired by artists and scientists alike. There’s something undeniable about their beauty. These would make a great wall hanging, rearview mirror dangle or as a cute little highlight in a bright window. These ginkgo leaves  measure about 4" x 3” not including the wire detail. 

🍂 Each piece of glass is cut by hand, any flanges removed with a glass grinder. Each individual piece of glass is then wrapped in copper foil, then soldered together with 60/40 solder. Tinned copper wire make the details pop. After cleaned and the solder beads darkened with patina, it is waxed and buffed to a high shine. It is strung with black hemp twine and ready to hang.

🌳 Each stained glass item is handmade, and therefor each piece is unique. Art glass has imperfection and “seeds”, which add to the beauty and light play so loved in stained glass. Please handle with care and keep out of reach of children.
