Taking care of your glass

The materials used to create this work includes lead. Washing your hands after handling is always a good idea. Lead is absorbed through ingestion, but better safe than sorry. Please keep away from children and pets.

Suction cups are NOT recommended to hang even the smallest of suncatchers. They will fail. I have heard good things about 3M adhesive hooks and the like, but what I use and do recommend is cup hooks or screw-in eyelets into a sturdy wooden window frame. Alternatively, you can hang your work on the wall with a simple nail, depending on how big/heavy your new piece is.

The last step I take when creating these items is polishing with a carnauba wax and polish. This should keep your piece shiny and protected for awhile, depending on your climate. If it needs a dusting, a damp soft cloth should suffice. Chemicals and abrasives can harm the patina finish and potentially the solder and glass itself.

Finally, your new artwork is made with love by me. As is the nature of handmade items, there may be slight imperfections. If you are not completely satisfied with your artwork, please let me know so that I can make it right. Thank you so much for supporting my small business!
